Ha, anyway I've discovered that they are thinking of making Max Brooks' World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War is apparently being made into a movie by Paramount and... Brad Pitt????

Apparently there was a big bidding war for the rights between Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio to produce/make this.

Odd, huh. Well all I can say is, if you fuck this up Mr Pitt... I hope a swarm of Zombies digest you!

Ah long weekend, why are you so short?

The oaks was good but... we never got to the karaoke place. Meh. the Oaks is still good fun.

Ooo... Tom bought Bioshock & Halo 3 last week so that was fun. I really like bioshock - best graphics to come out since Gears of War. Worth it, although if you're getting on PC make sure your graphics/ram is up to the task 'cause the graphics are awesome and it would be a shame to have to play it on low.

For the last month I was given extra work to do- which was doing all the mobile connections for the corporate guys & entering it in ICE , on top of my normal filing, cash collection/counting, packaging, contract checking, banking.
It would have been alright except they'd just hired a whole bunch of corp sales staff. 8 people all wanting me to connect up between 1-20 mobiles, package up those mobiles and organise for them to be sent out.
So... pretty much all I could do was the mobile side, and even that I was... ok.. blah blah blah, etc etc.

Anywho, I guess they noticed when 20 days worth of bill pay money to be sent to Telstra hadn't been sent that they'd kinda loaded me up a little too much. ha it was like $25000 in cash and $32000 in cheques... so much money, took me 4-5 hours to go through.

Anyway, fuck I'm boring.

I'm sure everyone already knows this, but I saw a trailer for 30 Days Of Night last week.... I'm so fucking excited!!!

This was the graphic novel that I've been wanting to get for the past 5 years (since about year 10) , I did eventually get a chance to read through the first and third one (sitting on the floor at borders, but I can't actually afford it... there like $45 each... and not that long, but the artist Ben Templessmith, who's an aussie, does some beautifual and eerie stuff... and violent.
I probably could afford to start getting them but... it just doesn't seem worth it... probably $20 in kinokinya, everything in borders is generally $10-$25 more then it should be... but since I don't have a chance to go into the city anymore... sigh.

It looks like it's shapping up to be a good movie, Josh Harnett aside (I don't really know anything he's been in so I have no idea if he can actually act...)

Also camping was. Now I'm burnt, but none the less...
It was a little sad though, one of the guys brought a bag full of magic cards (my guess was 20 decks)... fuck it's an annal game... I liked the pictures though... I think I would have liked it when I was in primary school but it's too complicated and... a little lame, but as we'd got sick of shithead and texas... yep.

There were two cars, and just as we were about to leave we realised the battery had gone flat... on both cars... and we were about 20-30min drive to the first property. pushing cars is fun. Luckily this gay couple happened to be going for a drive in blackheath and came and helped out... strangley they owned a bookstore right near Fraya.

Anywho. Sorry I didn't come out on saturday, I've never been camping and we;d been planning this for two-three weeks.

My jobs become a lot harder, I have way too much work, it's kinda fucked what with me being an office junior... i assumed I'd be running around and doing not much... I was looking forward to running around hornsby getting stufff, but nooooo, I have to sit in the office and be handed mobile connection after mobile connection... bastards.

Oo I just checked my emails- clare I'll try and come to yours this weekend, I was planning on going down to Woonoona again, but I have to come back on Sat so I'd only be spending one night, and it's a bitch to get to, so I'll probably be making my way to yours. (going down to... some place past Waterfall for a party on thursday... I'm a little scared! all southies.... hmmm...)

Also finally got around to watching Grave of the Fireflies... I cried so badly... I knew what was going to happen, I knew it was sad and yet it still hit me like a glass case of emotions! I can't believe how much it affected me, as most things don't usually do that to me.

Well that's my rant, and the first time since tuesday that i've had a chance to go on the internet! Huzzah.

Apologies for ranty boringness, but really you should have learnt by now that my post are generally poorly written and confussing (as they are written over an extended time, while pretending to work) and are, as a whole, rather dull and perhaps a little silly.... I want to be Minister of Silly Walks! Vote for me!

I haven't really updated because, well, there's nothing much I've done.

Tom's mum found a psp on the train, i'm pretty sure it's from japan... being in japanese. we did get it into english though. It had a game in it, japanese one, called Taiko Drum Master 2... and it's fucking awesome!

It has all these random songs, j-pop, classical etc... I was just saying it would be funny if cruel angel's thesis was on it... and it was!!! How fucking random is that!!! I wish I understood Japanese (well, I can understand "Gamu-setten" but... only because it's pretty much english) It's great, this hyper excited japanese voice yells enthusiastically at you... about... something... yep.

Yvonna's 21st was good fun, I was impressed at how many times she changed.

Yep.

P.S. you should all buy Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. It's been keeping me entertained the last two-three weeks. Ah... escaping reality. Hey, and it's only $20... how cheap I am.

I've got the most annoying... thing. I don't know what it is, I don't know what causes it. All I know is that this thing keeps coming back again & again.

It makes me tired, feel kind of like I have car sickness, stomach pains, headaches, feel like I'm about to pass out and/or can't focus on anything. Computers make me feel dizzy and ill. stupid annoyingness.

But it's not just me- my mum's got it too, although hers hasn't been going on as long as mine.

Doctors got nothing, had tests done but nothing really showed up.
I bet it's our taps/pipes or something. bad water. it does taste a little funky.

Anywho, the only thing I really managed to do because of this lame sick/bug thing was watch the all blacks loose and listen to tom gloat... and watch the transformers movie on sunday when I thought I was feeling better (I was wrong, headache and vomitess feelings returned that night).
I loved it! It was very awesome!!!!
Oh and the trailers before it were : Simpsons (a new one I hadn't seen yet including homer singing "Spiderpig, Spiderpig, does anything a spiderpig can"), a full Harry Potter trailer and... Stardust!!! It was awesome to go see a movie I've been excited about but even better seeing all previews to other movies you really want to see. Ye gatz I'm lame.

And for some perculiar reason my second hand lg phone tom gave me started doing some fun random things... like tuning off for no particular reason, even though it had just been charged, backlight flashing randomly, loosing all the information for 10 mins then magically getting it back (I mean all contacts & msgs).
So I bought a phone. I paid my precious money towards a damn phone. Nokia 6288. it's slidey... and white. they had no black left. It... does... stuff.... like 3d golf... 3d snake... games you don't really want to play.

ah well. no more money spending.

meh. I'm very uninteresting at the moment. no, scratch that. I'm always uninteresting.

Hey who lost power on friday/saturday?

I completely forgot about that until this morning when people at work were discussing it.
I was a Tom's for the long weekend and the power went off at 1am on Saturday morning and came back on around 5.30 - 6pm. We were actually pretty lucky it was only that long. I just heard that someone had the power from Friday to sunday. It's fine and good until you want to cook dinner... or cook anything. or shower.

Funny thing is my mum still had power but everyone around her was out. ah what fun!

Your leg muscles still hurt from sunday running around playing soccer (poorly) for 2 hours.

That's probably the most exciting thing I've done recently. Donned a pair of Tom's old soccer boots from when he was in the under 13's (and I still had to wear two pairs of thick socks.) It's fun running around on a muddy, flooded field, tearing up the grass and ground (which I think is probably a bad thing.. but meh) and pathetically punting a metallic blue and silver ball around.

God I'm fucking un-co and weak. Ah well.

Bloody hell. I can't walk properly today. My leg keeps half collapsing so i have this very elegant half stumbling, half limping, half trying to walk normal thing going on.

they're planing on making a thundercats live action movie... I didn't like that show. purelu because when i was a kid i really didn't like cat... especially ones that stand upright, wear clothes and fight evil *shudder* Oooo. Imagine if they made a swat cats movie. That would be really sad.

< how can you resist it? Actually, i like the chocobos in final fanatasy... uh.. 12? i think, whatever the one with Vann is... they look really good in that, not as cartoony. and they have a funny white patch of feathers on their arses.

For some reason I bought Chocobo Tales (ds) yesterday... hah it's funny & bloody cute! The moogle in the game is taller than the chocobo main character... i though moogles were tiny little things. It's got these stupid but fun mini games, one of them you have to blow into the microphone (yes i am aware that sounds silly) to make a little hamster thing fly up and down to get cheese that is some how floating in the air... yep. strange. stupid damn cute yellow bird... damn it.

I'd quite like to live in sydney obeservatory. It's such a beautiful place and also extremely awesome!
We got to see Jupiter (and could see 4 of it's 60 something moons), the moon, alfa centauri and that star close to us that they think is going to go supanova soon (and most def will for a black hole). I can't remember the name but it was familar.
Tom & I have decided to go in together to get a telescope... I want to build a platform on my roof for it. but.. I think that's slightly stupid, and may go as far as calling myself a smeg head if I may be so bold... yousmeghead Would probably say it best? (although I'd be quite happy to hear it from Craig thingy majiggy who plays Lister)

Oh I watched Mel Brook's History of the World Part 1. It was really good.... although you could see that he really isn't very creative- he took alot of the jokes from Men in Tights from this movie.. Like We're Jews, Jews in Space (to tune of men in tights... tight tights) or repeatedly saying "It's good to be king" or the 'walk this way' joke. And yet despite his lack of creativeness it's still awesome! I wonder if there actually is a part 2, that'd be cool...

Ok, I heard there was a Red Dwarf movie... being made... or something. Thought it was a joke. Looked at the website and... there it was. A mention of making a Red Dwarf movie!!
Only thing is... the last post about it was in 2003... when they said it'd probably be filmed in Australia... hmmm...

An exclusive news update revealing the latest on the long-awaited Red Dwarf movie.

With rumours buzzing across the net and appearing in SF publications, reddwarf.co.uk can bring you details of the latest movie goings-on - and it's good news indeed.

Doug Naylor is currently in Australia investigating studio facilities and commencing preliminary design work for intended shooting in late September. The move may come as a surprise to those who expected a Shepperton shoot. "We had originally planned for Shepperton," Doug told reddwarf.co.uk, "but at the time we were told there were no studios available. We looked everywhere - Germany, Austria, Italy - and eventually Richard Taylor at Weta (Lord of the Rings) recommended Australia."

Ultimately, Doug has been pleased with how things have turned out. "We've been delighted by everything we've found out here. Australia's the sci-fi capital of the world right now. Star Wars, The Matrix, Farscape... It's the ideal place for Red Dwarf."

No additional cast or crew have yet been announced, although a number of names are in the frame for key positions. What we do know is that reddwarf.co.uk will be constantly on-set to follow production as it happens, with Andrew Ellard also writing The Making of Red Dwarf book for publication on the film's release.

Finally, we can clear up the truth about the movie flyer which has appeared on a couple of sites over the last few months. The flyer itself (which appears here in its complete form) is genuine. Distributor Winchester Films created it to market Red Dwarf - The Movie overseas. Small errors made by the graphic design team, and since picked up by fans, did slip through. A GNP corrected version went missing in transit and so didn't make the print run in time.

So - what about the plot? This text appears on the flyer:

RED DWARF THE MOVIE is set in the distant future where Homo Sapienoids, a fearsome combination of flesh and machine, and the next stage of human evolution, have taken over the solar system and almost wiped out the human race.

The only survivors are the crews of long-haul space freighters that left Earth before the conflict began. The Sapienoids send forth fleets of Death Ships to hunt them down. One by one - the human ships fall, until only one remains.

Yes, once again, the blurb is for real. This is indeed the plot of Red Dwarf - The Movie. Kinda. It misses the bit where Lister, Rimmer, Cat and Kryten come together, obviously. It also misses out Holly and Kochanski. It misses the actual plot, in fact, and with good reason. This flyer was produced as a marketing tool for Winchester Films to sell the movie in various international territories. What story is included is there to whet the appetite.

The last 15 minutes was terrible... sigh. If only Matt Rogers was playing. Damn people not running straight but instead backwards... and then throwing a ball, no hurling a ball, at no one.

I love this game- it's called Earth Defence Force. It's the year 2017 and aliens are attacking earth (including giant ants, giant spides, huge fucking robots, alien air ships, motherships, dino-mega-robot type thing, massive walking fortresses...) And you get to run around Japan with rocket launhes, acid launchers etc and kill them all. All the buildings are destructable. it's awesome! I don't know if it's just a 360 thing but if you can get it,... uh... get it.

I can't wait for the weekend! Going to the observatory this saturday. I've wanted to go since I was a kid and I finally ge to! Although... all the photos of the tours include just a bunch of really old people with 3d glasses on...

I've decided I'm going to save up $8,658 to by a Drum Mania Mix 10. Well, not really, but I'd like the album. It's funny that i new quite a few of the songs. I think alot of the music is in the openings or credits of animie series. Every time I play I always choose Diamonds (one of the opening theme songs from samurai x). It's a little embarrassing that i'm sitting there mumbling along to the song as I don't know Japanese at all but I know what the words vaguely sound like.
